From the IL Daily Herald: Police search for doughnut shop robber

Police continue to search for a man who robbed a Round Lake Beach doughnut shop Sunday night and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

Round Lake Beach police Lt. Rich Chiarello said a man entered Dunkin’ Donuts, 706 E. Rollins Road, about 9:30 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money from a cashier. After receiving the money, he fled the store.

Chiarello said no one was injured, and police are working with nearby businesses to obtain surveillance videos.

A $1,000 reward is being offered by Lake County Crime Stoppers for information that leads to an arrest.
